Vogue Williams has applauded husband Spencer Matthew after he completed the gruelling six-day Marathon Des Sables 2021 saying she was proud of him.

The Made In Chelsea star took part in the challenge in memory of his late brother, who tragically died while descending Mount Everest when he was 22.

Spencer joined the other participants on the 250km run in the sweltering heat across the Moroccan desert and Vogue posted his achievement on Instagram.

“So proud of @spencermatthews completing the MDS a 251km ultra marathon in the desert with temperatures of 51 degrees,” she wrote.

Vogue attributed her husband’s success to the lucky shells their son Theodore had gifted him for the race.

“Such a huge achievement, the lucky shells T gave him helped him through… both of the kiddies miss you so much.”

Vogue shared a photo of Spencer at the finish line and another snap of her hubby running the race.

Spencer, wearing number 729, sported black shorts, a black sleeveless top and blue sunglasses.

Jamie Laing and comedian Joanne McNally took to the comments section with clapping hands emojis as Vogue's Instagram followers praised Spencer.

One commented: "Amazing achievement in such heat!….& without a hat too!!! Well done Spencer!"

Another added: "Incredible achievement!!"

As Spencer endured his desert ordeal Vogue has been addressing rumours that she is joining I’m A Celebrity.

Vogue admitted there has been “talk” of her going on the show every year, but revealed she has never been approached.

“I think I would be just terrible at that. I’m terrified of insects… wasps, so I think I’d actually be brutal at it,” she told the Daily Mail.

“But I do think it’s a fun show. I think it’s always good to learn stuff.”

The Howth native has previously won the 2015 series of Bear Grylls: Mission Survive.
