Baby love Supermodel Naomi Campbell reveals 'beautiful little blessing' as she become mum at 50

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has become a mum at the age of 50.

Naomi announced the news today that she has become mother to a bouncing baby girl.

The beauty, who was famously engaged to U2’s Adam Clayton in the early 1990s, revealed the news on social media.

The star – who turns 51 on Friday - posted a photo showing her hand cradling her new daughter's feet on Twitter and Instagram.

She wrote: "A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother, So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love."

Naomi did not give any more details about when the baby was born or her name but this is her first child.

Congratulations poured in from well wishers.

Designer Marc Jacobs wrote: "Oh my God!!!!! Today is the day?? How absolutely incredible. How lucky she is and how lucky you are! What a wonderful Mother you will be. Blessings all around. ❤️❤️❤️"

Actress Zoe Saldana said: "❤️❤️❤️ oh my goodness congrats lady! What a blessing!!!"

Campbell has previously spoken about wanting children.

During a 2017 interview with the Evening Standard she said: "I think about having children all the time. But now with the way science is I think I can do it when I want."

In 1993 Naomi became engaged to U2 bassist Adam Clayton. They met in February of that year, after Clayton, when asked in an interview if there was anything in the world he desired but did not have, responded: "A date with Naomi Campbell". Campbell and Clayton separated the following year

She became a regular visitor to Ireland and also took part in the charity Supermodels fashion show in Dublin’s Point theatre.

From 2008 until 2013, she was in a relationship with Russian businessman Vladislav Doronin.

She also had relationships with Robert De Niro, Hassan Jameel, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Usher.

More recently she dated Liam Payne, as well as Skepta.

It is still unclear of the father of her baby is.

In 2010, Clayton fathered a son with his then-partner, an unnamed French woman.

In 2013, he confirmed that he was no longer in that relationship.

On 4 September 2013, Clayton married former human rights lawyer Mariana Teixeira de Carvalho in a ceremony in Dublin.

On 25 July 2017, Clayton and his wife announced the arrival of their daughter, Alba.
