Selling Sunset star Mary Fitzgerald has said that Dublin is “one of her favourite cities” after she visited the capital with her husband Romain Bonnet last December.

Appearing on 98FM’s Big Breakfast with Rebecca and Brendan she said: “I love it. Oh my God. It's one of my favourite cities.

“It was my first time there and I definitely want to come back very, very soon.”

During their time in Dublin the couple stayed at the Merrion Hotel in Dublin.

They also visited Monaghan’s Cashmere store on South Anne Street where they enjoyed some shopping and visited the world famous Guinness factory.

Before heading back stateside, she also picked up some treats for her fellow Selling Sunset stars.

“Are the Crunchies... those are from you guys right? So we brought those back.”

“I thought that was from Dublin, we brought those back and then we brought back a lot of Irish whiskey.. a bunch of people send it to us and so we got to try lots of different types of Irish whiskey.”

The fifth season of the popular Netflix show, which was released today, will see Christine promoted to manager.

“I'm very happy about the promotion. It's very exciting. I'm honoured that Jason trusts me to do this role, but Christine has been a little bit of an issue,” she said.

“I'm just trying to keep all the agents happy, productive and just working together.”

“We typically motivate each other and support each other. And so just trying to find a way to keep that happening with whatever's going on with her.”

Speaking about new Oppenheim team member, Chelsea Lazakani, Mary said she is “awesome.”

“I think she is going to be an amazing addition to the show. She is like the very nice, woman empowerment version of Christine, I think.”

“Where she's still, she's eccentric, she's over the top, has a huge personality, just as crazy. A lot of like potential clients and, is very motivated. So I think she's going to be an incredible addition and we'll have to see what happens, but I'm excited to have her.”
