Rosanna Davison has said that she “started laughing” after suffering her 15th miscarriage.

The former Miss World recently revealed that she suffered another miscarriage just one day after appearing on The Late Late Show last February.

Speaking to Doireann Garrihy on her The Laughs of Your Life podcast, the 37-year-old said that she was 11 weeks pregnant when she was rushed to hospital after losing a lot of blood.

“I was on The Late Late Show talking about not being able to have a baby and how we had Sophia through surrogacy,” she explained.

“But then the next day I began to have a miscarriage, what turned out to be a miscarriage. But it sort of started and went on for a few days.

“I thought it was just a heavy period. On the Tuesday, the following week, Wes found me in the bathroom with blood everywhere, cramping, crying and bleeding. He rang my mom and said ‘Rosie is on the floor surrounded by blood. I don’t know what to do.’

“So, my mum comes along and brings me to Holles Street. I kept saying it’s just a heavy period, I haven’t had one in a few months because I’ve got a newborn and life is busy.”

Rosanna admitted that she started hysterically laughing when she found out that she had been pregnant, as she had never come that far along when she had miscarried before.

She continued: “But they were like no we have tested out the material/tissue and you were definitely pregnant. We calculated that I was nearly 11 weeks.

“The nurse said to me ‘Are you okay?’ and I started laughing. I was lying in the hospital bed in Holles Street. It was about half 11 or 12 at night.

“It was late, having just been told that I had lost this pregnancy. I started laughing saying, ‘This is incredible. I had never got this far along. I had lost 14 pregnancies at six and a half weeks, this is amazing.’

“She was very taken aback and said, ‘Look we have a counselling service if you need help.’

“She was just so shocked by my response. My mom was there as well holding my hand. She was just amazed as well.”

Rosanna is now a proud mum to three children whom she shares with her husband Wes Quirke: one-year-old Sophia and twins Hugo and Oscar, who were conceived in what the model has described as a “fertility miracle.”
