Crooner Sir Rod Stewart has been spotted outside his Essex estate filling in potholes in the road because he’s struggling to get his Ferrari past them.
The 77-year-old Celtic fanatic vented his 'Rod rage' and showed he’s prepared to get his hands dirty, donning a high-vis and taking to the roadwork with a shovel.
Among supporters was fellow musician Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones, who said: 'Bravo Rod!'
Stewart posted a video on Instagram, saying: “I’m repairing the street near where I live because no one can be bothered to do it.
“People are bashing their cars up.
“The other day, there was an ambulance with a burst tyre. My Ferrari can’t go through here at all.
“We are filling in the holes ourselves while millions and millions of pounds are being spent on the M11.”
He also joked: ‘Working for a living, filling holes is good for the soul!’
The hitmaker was seen with others shovelling gravel into the potholes, with fans responding with admiration to his hard graft.
One wrote: ‘Don't hurt yourself I got tickets to see you in June.’
Another chimed in: ‘Well said. I live in Harlow and the roads are getting a joke with the amount of holes.’
