Pregnant Pippa O’Connor has opened up about feeling nervous about going for a baby scan.

The fashion and beauty blogger and her husband Brian Ormond recently announced that they were expecting their third child.

The Kildare native also revealed at the time that she sadly suffered a miscarriage last year.

Speaking today, Pippa admitted that she was “holding her breath” in the days leading up to her scan but added that it was a “lovely reassurance” to find out that everything looked good.

Speaking to her Instagram followers, she said: “I had a scan on Monday, and I don’t know about anyone else but the days leading up to one, I’m just up to ninety about it.

“The relief after that, as I’m sure so many of you can relate to, is huge when you get a positive scan and everything looks good.

“But I don’t know if that feeling will ever go until the baby is in your arms, and even after that. Even now, obviously you worry all the time but before these scans you’re just holding your breath.

The 36-year-old also spoke about her recent vow renewal ceremony, which Brian organised as a surprise on the couple’s 10th wedding anniversary.

“That was just – I'm thinking about it now going, ‘Did that really happen?’ It was just so beautiful and the nicest surprise,” Pippa gushed.

“I honestly was emotional for like three days after it. We had such a lovely couple of days away, just the two of us.

“There was music playing. There were candles everywhere. There were flowers everywhere and there’s a runner up the aisle.

“I was so overwhelmed, so emotional. I just got the biggest, nicest surprise. I just thought it was so lovely and thoughtful. It was just gorgeous and I cried my way up.

“It was just so special... It felt like we just had our wedding day,” she added.
