Irish actor Paul Mescal has been named in Forbes Magazine’s prestigious ‘30 Under 30’ list.

The annual Forbes list recognises young innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders who are aged under 30 and who are seen to have transformed areas of business, technology, finance, media, healthcare, science, policy, social entrepreneurship, retail and the arts and entertainment.

The Kildare native (25) was included in the Entertainment category for Europe following his breakout role in the TV adaption adaptation of Sally Rooney’s bestselling novel, Normal People. His British co-star, Daisy Edgar Jones (22), also features on the list.

The BBC Three series, released in April 2020, received critical acclaim and has been a strong contender at this year’s awards season, landing Primetime Emmy and Critic’s Choice Award nominations for Paul and a Golden Globe nomination for Daisy.

The actor is due to star in Maggie Gyllenhaal's upcoming directorial debut The Lost Daughter alongside Oscar winner Olivia Colman, and as the lead in Benjamin Millepied's musical drama film Carmen.
