Miley Cyrus revealed that she was once "chased down by some sort of UFO".

Miley Cyrus is famous for her Wrecking Ball video where she swings from the sky wearing nothing but a pair of boots, but now she claims was followed by a different type of flying item - an alien spaceship.

The singer has revealed that she was once "chased down by some sort of UFO".

The 27-year-old said the encounter "f***ed me up" and that she now can't "look at the sky the same".

"I was driving through San Bernardino with my friend, and I got chased down by some sort of UFO," she recalls of her encounter in California. "I'm pretty sure about what I saw".

But Miley added that there may be a more plausible reason for her 'UFO'.

"I'd also bought weed wax (cannabis oil) from a guy in a van in front of a taco shop, so it could have been the weed wax."

Cyrus described the UFO as a "flying snowplough" that was "glowing yellow" with a "big plough in the front of it".

Threatened

"I did see it flying, and my friend saw it, too," she said. "There were a couple of other cars on the road and they also stopped to look, so I think what I saw was real."

Miley, who recently released a cover of The Cranberries' hit Zombie' added: "I didn't feel threatened at all actually, but I did see a being sitting in front of the flying object.

"It looked at me and we made eye contact, and I think that's what really shook me, looking into the eyes of something that I couldn't quite wrap my head around."

The 27-year-old said: "I was shaken up for like five days. It f***ed me up. I couldn't really look at the sky the same. I thought they might come back."

Miley is not the first celebrity to describe an encounter with aliens, or somebody who believes they exist.

The Sorry Not Sorry singer opened up about watching the 2020 documentary Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind on the Wild Ride! with Steve-O podcast earlier this year.

The film explores the possibility of extraterrestrial civilisations and how they can make contact with humans.

"The first encounter would be, like, seeing a UFO," Lovato (28) explained. "The second would be some kind of proof being left behind. The third encounter would be, like, you have some sort of interaction with the alien. The fourth is, like, you're on board, you get abducted and then the fifth is human-initiated contact with aliens. I sound nuts right now."

In 2014 she said: "I know that they're real. How self-centred would we be, as humans, to believe we're the only living things in the universe?"

TOM DELONGE

Former Blink 182 frontman Tom DeLonge is a long time believer in aliens and UFOs.

He revealed in February 2015 that he had read 200 books about extraterrestrials.

"I don't spend my time looking at UFO reports or talking to little green men," the 44-year-old said. "I'm way past that. If anybody tells you there's no life in the universe, you should be turned off. That's just such a dumb thing to say."

He added: "I don't think we're working underground with aliens. I don't think it's like that, like some dumb conspiracy theorists think. I think what's gonna happen, mark my words, is that they're going to find the microbial life that they've been talking about on Mars and then, it's one planet over. We're gonna send people up there, and we're gonna find remnants of other types of life."

DeLonge launched his company To the Stars Academy, which researches UFOs, in 2015.

POST MALONE

The Circles rapper said in an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience in July 2020 that he has seen UFOs in New York, Utah and California over the years.

"I'm like, 'How did no one else see this?' But I was there with, like, four other f**kin' people and they saw it too," the 25-year-old said.

JANUARY JONES

The Mad Men actress shared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in January 2020 that she "very much" believes in aliens - and even said she once spotted a UFO in a field in Iowa.

"It was definitely a spaceship," Jones (42) said of the encounter which happened when she was in her 20s. "Or a shooting star that just couldn't figure it out."

KURT RUSSELL

The Tango & Cash actor revealed in November 2018 that he witnessed a possible UFO sighting years ago.

"I was flying [his son Oliver] to go see his girlfriend, and we were on approach," Russell (69) explained. "I saw six lights over the airport in absolute uniform in a V shape. Oliver said to me - I was just looking at him, I was coming in, we're maybe a half a mile out - and Oliver said, 'Pa, what are those lights?'

"Then I kind of came out of my reverie and I said, 'I don't know what they are.' He said, 'Are we OK here?' And I said, 'Yeah, I'm gonna call in,' and I reported it."

DANNY DYER

Danny Dyer cares so little about being mocked for his views by sceptics that he proudly stated"I believe in UFOs" for a 2010 documentary that saw him visit hotbeds of alien activity at home and abroad. Asked recently he still believes in aliens, the 43-year-old EastEnders star stated: "I've seen UFOs. It wasn't an airplane, it certainly wasn't a balloon, it wasn't a Chinese lantern."

One Direction have pretty much conquered the planet, but Niall Horan reckons his band once had a good shot at dominating the universe as well.

The Mullingar man was convinced that not only are aliens real, they're probably Directioners.

"I think our goal for ten years down the line should be to sell a single in outer space and be the first band to do so," Niall (27) said. "I want aliens to buy our music. It is worth a shot and is obtainable."

Katy Perry is adamant aliens exist.

Saying that she sees life through "a spiritual lens", the Roar singer said: "I believe in aliens. I look up into the stars and I imagine: 'How self-important are we to think that we are the only life-form?'" The 36-year-old once toyed with asking Barack Obama about it when he was US president. "I mean, if my relationship with Obama gets any better, I'm going to ask him that question. It just hasn't been appropriate yet," she said when he was still in office.

"Everyone thinks I'm crazy," warned Megan Fox, before proceeding to be crazy and talk about "megalithic structures" built by "not necessarily little green aliens, but maybe future humans" during an appearance on Ellen a few years ago.

The 34-year-old actress also outed herself as a huge fan of cult History Channel show Ancient Aliens, which promotes the theory that space travellers have frequently visited Earth since the start of time, and wants to go on a dig to "see the real stuff that they're not willing to show the rest of the world... because humanity would panic".

ROBBIE WILLIAMS

One of the most devout alien hunters in the celebrity world, Robbie Williams has spent years trying to prove that we are not alone.

The Take That star claims to have seen aliens multiple times throughout his life and has recorded songs and produced tours about going into space.

The 46-year-old has made regular UFO hunting trips with his celeb buddies, and once announced that he wants to stop "being a pop star and [become] a full-time ufologist".

The actor once stated that he believed aliens to be real.

"Millions of stars, and we're supposed to be the only living creatures? No, there are many things out there, we just don't know," the 58-year-old said.

ALICIA KEYS

Alicia Keys not only believes aliens exist, she thinks that there are already some on earth.

"I'm sure you've seen a UFO," the 39-year-old pointed out.

"Haven't all of us seen something flying in the sky, and it's at some random time of night that doesn't make sense and it's not the shape of a plane?"

HALLE BERRY

"I don't believe we are the only species in existence," Halle (54) said in 2014. "It might take us 20 years to get to those other life forms, but I think they are out there."

NICK JONAS

While on Late Night With Seth Meyers in 2015, Nick Jonas shared his UFO encounter.

"When I was 14 maybe, I was in my backyard playing basketball with some friends and I looked up in the sky, and there was three flying saucers," the singer told Meyers.

"I'm a firm believer in aliens," the 28-year-old added.
