Michelle Heaton has shared an emotional post in support of her longtime friend Katie Price after her arrest yesterday.

The former glamour model, who is also known by her stage name Jordan, was arrested on Tuesday morning on suspicion of drink-driving after getting into a car accident in West Sussex.

Taking to Instagram today, Michelle shared a message showing her support for her friend, who she said was someone she leaned on when she entered rehab earlier this year for alcohol addiction.

In a statement, the former Liberty X singer said: “As you all know, Katie was there for me when I needed her and I of course am there for her!

“Right now, please give us all space. And sorry to those requests to myself and my manger [sic], we will not be talking about this or doing any interviews about it, unless Katie herself or her family wish me to.

“Our friendship over 21 years is built on trust. At this point I just reiterate what her family have already said and will support all in private.

“To anyone else out there who needs help – ask for it and you’ll be surprised at the support that’s given to you. Asking is the hardest but first step.”

Katie (43) was charged with driving without third party insurance and driving whilst disqualified following the crash near her home on Tuesday.

She appeared in court today following the collision on the B2135 near Partridge Green.

A statement from Sussex Police said: “Katie Price, 43, of Worthing Road, Horsham, was charged with using a motor vehicle on a public place without third party insurance and driving whilst disqualified.

“She was remanded in custody and will appear at Crawley Remand Court on Wednesday (September 29).”
