Kerry Katona has revealed her plans to freeze her eggs and admitted she’s in “no rush” to have more children.

The 40-year-old, who is currently engaged to 32-year-old Ryan Mahoney, has decided on surrogacy for her next child as she “couldn’t physically carry a child” now.

The mother-of-five revealed to OK!: “My body can't do it after DJ was born. I nearly died and DJ did die. She was on life support,” Kerry added, recalling the traumatic birth of her youngest child.

The former Atomic Kitten singer continued: “I think that was my body telling me enough's enough. If we were to have a child, it'd be through surrogacy.

“We have spoken about it. We're in no rush to do it though,” the star revealed. That being said, Kerry explained that she wouldn’t be taking any chances.

“I will go get my eggs frozen just to be on the safe side,” she told us, joking that she’s got Ryan a dog and he’s “more than happy with that for now".

In a recent interview with New magazine, Kerry explained that it would be selfish for her to get pregnant after everything that happened with DJ.

“I think if I was to get pregnant, it would be selfish of me because if I were to die my children would be left without a mum. As much as I love Ryan and Ryan loves me he would never put me through that.”

In a recent tell-all interview with Ulrika Jonsson where she said: “It would be selfish of me to have another child... But I would do it for Ryan. So I’m freezing my eggs and we will see what happens.”

Kerry has also recently admitted how she hoped her wedding to Ryan Mahoney would be cancelled after her three failed marriages left her with anxiety.

She was married to singer Brian McFadden from 2002 to 2006, taxi driver Mark Croft from 2007 to 2011 and George Kay from 2014 to 2017.

And Kerry admitted that the thought of getting married again made her "feel sick".

She told the Mail Online: "I kept thinking 'I hope it gets cancelled. I hope it gets cancelled.' Honestly, I had this massive fear… it made me feel sick...

"It turned my stomach thinking about a wedding and walking down the aisle in front of all of those people again. I thought, no. I can't think of anything worse."

Kerry said that she only ever wanted to be loved but she "went about it the wrong way".

She added: "Not that Ryan is anything remotely like any three of them put together.

"Not an ounce of any of them. But you just start to think 'it must be me.'"
