Jennifer Zamparelli revealed that one day she will tell her children that she was previously engaged when she was 21 years old.

Speaking on her show on 2FM, the RTÉ presenter opened up about her previous engagement and the “perils” of getting engaged at a young age.

She said: “Would I talk to them? Yes. Yeah. Well it depends on how old they were, but I’m sure it would pop up at some stage.”

Jennifer has previously spoken about the past engagement and 2FM entertainment reporter Lottie Ryan pointed out: “It’s gonna pop up because they could google you, and you’ve spoken about it publicly.”

Jennifer said she was “so young, and I would talk about the perils of getting involved and getting engaged at 19, 21.”

“Stay away from Italians,” joked the radio presenter.

Now 40 and married to husband Lau, with whom she has two children, the RTÉ star previously revealed to the Irish Sun how the broken engagement was the “worst decision of my life” and was a “lucky escape”.

The conversation came up because Kim Kardashian recently revealed her four children have no idea who her ex-husband Kris Humphries is.

Kim and her ex-husband were married for a total of 72 days before filing for divorcing in 2011.

The Keeping up with the Kardashians star revealed on the new season of their show that her four children with ex-husband Kanye West have no idea.

“I don’t really want to explain like, who Kris Humphries is,” she told Scott Disick as they talked about how much of the show they want their children to see.

Kim’s second marriage to the NBA player in 2011 was filmed on season six of Keeping up with the Kardashians, and their troubled marriage was followed on the spin-off show Kourtney and Kim Take New York.

Kim said at some point she will tell her children before they watch it for themselves.

“I’d rather do it with them. I’d rather be that parent. But I’m just not ready for the kids to see it yet,” Kim said.

“But, that is your life. That is your past, and at some point they are going to be interested in seeing everything. They’re either going to do it without us or with us,” replied Scott.
