Ireland AM’s Ger Treacy and husband and broadcaster Bernard O’Toole have been enjoying a “babymoon” in sunny Spain ahead of the arrival of their first child.

The couple who are expecting their first child together in the next few months, decided to take a break away before the big day to soak up the fabulous weather in Seville.

The two journalists have spent time on the babymoon, trying out some flamenco dance classes., and although Bernard tried his best in the lessons, he admitted: “The things I do”.

The couple both work for Virgin Media Television. Ger looks after sports reporting on Ireland AM while Bernard works for Virgin Media News.

The couple who been together for many years got engaged in 2014 before they had their stunning wedding in July 2016.

The adventurous duo then did a tour of different African countries for their honeymoon visiting Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Cape Town in South Africa and they even went on safari in Botswana.

The mum-to-be recently told RSVP Live: “We are both absolutely over the moon, we’re so extremely grateful and feel so lucky to be expecting. We’re really on cloud nine and both so excited.

“I was really sick with hyperemesis for the first few months of the pregnancy but thankfully that stage seems to have eased now and I’m feeling great and it will be all worth it.”

“We haven’t found out the sex of the baby, we’re going to leave it as a Christmas surprise. There are few surprises in life and as long as the baby is healthy and safe that’s all that matters.”

She added: “Our family, friends and work colleagues are so excited about the news.

“We have been overwhelmed and totally blown away by the love, good wishes and support from everyone. We are so lucky to be surrounded by such amazing family, friends and work family. We feel so lucky.”
