Star's hope Homesick Maura Higgins on plans to fly home for Christmas
LOVE Island babe Maura Higgins is planning to come home for Christmas as she’s pining to see her family.
“The last time I was in Ireland was about July time, “ admits Maura, who hails from Ballymahon, Co Longford.
“But I definitely hope to get back before Christmas, see my family and spend some time with them.
“I’ve never really spent Christmas away from Ireland, so it would be a bit strange for me.
“I hope to fly home to Ireland – hopefully I can fly home. That’s what I’m praying for at the moment.”
She adds: “I’ve never spent Christmas anywhere else, so I don’t even know what it’d be like to spend it in a different place. It’s just nice to be with your family, isn’t it.”
Maura may be dating fellow Love Islander Chris Taylor at the moment but top of her Christmas shopping list is her little niece.
“My greatest weakness is my nice because if ever she wants something I have to get it for her,” the 30-year-old reveals.
“She’s five years old and whenever I go home to Ireland she’s the first person I got to see. I love surprising her. She gets so excited, especially when it’s a long time.”
Maura is currently promoting a 12 days of Maura campaign for Ann Summers.
“It launched on December 1 and we’re going to release a new photo of me every day for 12 days, all in different lingerie,” he smiles.
“I definitely have some favourite. For me, the Million Dollar Body, and as always, my all-time favourite is the Fiercely Sexy Set.
"The first-ever Fiercely Sexy set I absolutely loved, and then I created a swimwear version of it. Now for Christmas we have it in red as well.”
