Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey has continued to explore Ireland with a tour of Westport House.

The actor has been enjoying the country’s tourist hotspots during his time off from filming Disney’s Disenchanted in Wicklow and Dublin.

His latest adventure has brought him over to the West in Co. Mayo, where he enjoyed a Restoration Tour at a Georgian-era heritage attraction.

Westport House were delighted to have a visitor from Hollywood and shared a photo on their social media channels of Dempsey with Cathal and Bea Hughes, whose family own the period estate.

The trio donned hi-vis vests and wore black face masks as they posed for a socially distanced photo on a staircase inside the house in front of a stunning angel statue.

Patrick was described as “a gentleman” by members of staff.

Westport House wrote: “We had the great pleasure of welcoming Patrick Dempsey to Westport House today for a Restoration Tour.

“What a gentleman. Such a keen interest and knowledge of restoration and construction. We hope to welcome him back when the works are complete.

“With best wishes from the Hughes family and teams at Portwest and Westport House for the rest of his time on the @wildatlanticway and in Ireland. Looking forward to seeing Disenchanted on the big screen.

Dempsey has been staying in Ireland since May to work on the sequel to the 2007 Disney film, Enchanted.

Disenchanted will see Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey reprise their roles as Princess Giselle and divorce attorney Robert.

Also returning to our screens are Idina Menzel as Nancy Tremaine and James Marsden as the lovable Prince Edward.
