Dani Dyer’s boyfriend Sammy Kimmence has been jailed for three years after scamming pensioners out of £34,000.

Kimmence, from Essex, persuaded Peter Martin (91) and Peter Haynes (81) to let him invest their money in horse racing bets on their behalf in 2016 and 2018, but instead used the cash to fund his lavish lifestyle of expensive hotels and restaurants and settling his debts.

The 25-year-old boyfriend of Love Island winner Dani Dyer pleaded guilty to four counts of fraud against Martin, who died last year, which came to £26,000.

He also pleaded guilty to a fifth charge against Haynes amounting to £7,927.

Kimmence originally denied all charges before a last-minute decision to plead guilty.

During the sentencing this morning at Portsmouth Crown Court, Judge Timothy Mousley QC said the scam had been an “abuse of trust" between Kimmence and the victims.

He added: “You didn't show any remorse immediately and I do not consider any remorse to be profound.”

Prosecutor Michael Mason said: “This is a very unpleasant fraud against two men who Mr Kimmence deliberately targeted.

“He targeted them because they were old, vulnerable and somewhat isolated. This wasn't something he migrated to, this was something he planned.”

In a statement read to court, Mr Haynes, an aircraft engineer and RAF veteran, said: “All the savings I have accrued over my working life have been wiped out, my bank account shows zero, I am sick with worry.”

Meanwhile, Dani Dyer has failed to acknowledge the legal drama and jumped onto her Instagram account to discuss holiday plans with her son Santiago, who she shares with Kimmence.

The new mum, who is the daughter of EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, joked about how much space the tot’s belongings take up in her house to her 3.4 million followers, but remained tight-lipped on her beau’s court proceedings.
