A rival of Conor McGregor has trolled him with a photoshopped snap.

UFC welterweight Belal Muhammad took aim at the Dubliner over his 2018 loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The photoshopped image shows Conor McGregor wearing sunglasses and watching his lightweight bout at UFC 229.

On the reflection of the glasses, he can be seen watching his 2018 submission loss to Nurmagomedov.

However, Belal’s face is edited onto Khabib’s to show Conor being choked out by the American fighter.

In recent weeks Belal has taunted McGregor in the media in a bid to become his next competitor as the Dubliner prepares to return to the octagon at 170lb after he broke his leg during UFC 264 in July 2021.

Speaking to ESPN, the No.5-ranked fighter in his division, who recently defeated Vicente Luque to extend his unbeaten run to eight bouts said: “You’ve still got the Irish gimp that’s talking about coming up to 170, so, I wouldn’t mind slapping him around too.

"We’ve gone back and forth here and there. He’s talking about it. He looks like he’s juiced up a little bit. So, we’ll be the same size. I’m not the biggest 170-pounder.”

After fans criticised Muhammad’s appearance at UFC Vegas 51 and branded it as “boring” one fan took to Twitter to say: “If you want dominance, look at Silva. If you want power, look at Ngannou. If you want wrestling, look at Khabib. If you want fight IQ, look at St. Pierre. If you want striking, look at McGregor. If you want speed, look at Aldo. If you none of that, look at Belal Muhammad’.”

While McGregor replied with a slew of laughing emojis, Muhammed responded: “If you want checked kicks, look at Dustin,” taking aim at McGregor’s fight against Dustin Porier in which Conor’s leg was broken.

While the Irishman has prepared to return to MMA, he previously revealed to SevereMMA.com that he is looking to fight again this July.

“July seems okay for me,” he said.

“I can’t say too early, but July, if I’m sparring in April, May, June, July — I could slap the head off of most of these guys at the end of April.”
