Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton

Formula One racing driver Lewis Hamilton has sold his New York City penthouse for a whopping €44 million.

The 36-year-old English sports star bagged himself almost €5m in profit for the lavish pad he first nabbed in 2017.

The exclusive apartment is located in the Tribeca area of Manhattan and measures over 12,000 interior and exterior square feet, featuring five bedrooms, six bathrooms, two half bathrooms, multiple terraces, 20-foot ceilings, a plunge pool, and two parking spaces.

The seven times world champion won't be homeless though, as he also owns another New York €35m bachelor pad on nearby Vestry Street, which he also purchased in 2017.

If Hamilton wins today he will surpass legendary Michael Schumacher for the most championships ever won and will have a choice of pads to host his possible groundbreaking celebration.

Lewis is not the only celebrity who boasts an amazing second home or choice of multiple mansions - here's a few others….

The couple primarily live in a London mansion the actor bought for €12m. He paid €7.5m for the Italian nest in 2002, having come across it the year before while motorcyling around Italy with a pal when one of their bikes broke down outside the house. After getting help from its owner the A-lister fell in love with the place and ended up buying it.
