Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland has been quick to deny a story claiming he blew an astonishing €500,000 at a restaurant on the Greek island Mykonos.

Haaland, who was enjoying some down time off after Norway failed to qualify for Euro 2020, celebrated in style as his entourage downed four bottles of Cristal Vintage, as well as plates of delectable meals.

Haaland, who is believed to earn around £140,000 (162,000 euro) per week at his club, would have been well able to stump up for a lavish bill that was racked up over the course of five hours.

Yet he was quick to post a message on his Twitter account to dismiss the story:

Haaland partied the day away at Nammos, a luxury beach area that features a shopping area, seafood restaurant and a bar with dozens of sun loungers.

Haaland was just the latest in a celebrities to visit the hotspot and as he did so, four bottles of Cristal Vintage were consumed, as well as plates of delectable meals.

Haaland was also snapped on a yacht, where he was seen basking in the sunshine out at sea while surrounded by bikini-clad women.

The Louis Vuitton outfit that he was wearing includes a £695 (800 euro) multi-coloured shirt, swim shorts worth £590 (686 euro), a £545 (633 euro) monogram bucket hat and £420 (488 euro) mules.

He was seen chatting away with other partygoers on the yacht, and was later spotted in a separate boat with friends before heading back to one of the island's picturesque beaches.

Haaland who was spotted in the same bar as Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez dancing and waving napkins in the air sent the transfer rumour mill into overdrive.

Mahrez re-posted the video on his Twitter page alongside the caption, 'Agent Mahrez on duty', although he added later that he was “just having fun”.
