Bono has rubbished US media reports that he spent the night partying with Conor McGregor in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The pair were reported to be hanging out together at a 62nd birthday party on Tuesday night for hotel owner Marc Roberts at his E11Even venue in west Hollywood.

More than 200 VIP guests were at the party, including Canadian TV star Kevin O'Leary and LA Lakers basketball player Talen Horton-Tucker.

But a U2 spokesperson told us last night: "Bono was nowhere near that party, or indeed LA - he has been in Dublin this week."

The last time McGregor (33) and 61-year-old Bono publicly partied together was in LA five years ago, when they hung out with with Drake and Katy Perry.

That hooley happened just weeks after McGregor picked up $3 million for beating Nate Diaz in his second UFC encounter with the American.

The fighter has previously posted online comments saying how much a fan he is of U2 and even asked Bono to perform at his Floyd Mayweather bout in 2017, but Bono reportedly declined.

McGregor was in anything but in a dancing mood a couple of weeks ago, when he appeared to try to tussle with Machine Gun Kelly on the red carpet for MTV's Video Music Awards.

The MMA star threw his drink at the singer in an apparent row about a photo, although some claim the Dubliner mistook Kelly for fellow rapper Jake Paul, with whom he's in a feud.

The fighter, who was at the MTV awards with partner Dee Devlin to present a gong to Justin Bieber, has now apparently invited Kelly and his girlfriend Megan Fox to his next bout in a bid to bury the hatchet.

After partying in LA on Tuesday night, McGregor flew to Miami the next day, where he was given the keys to the city by Mayor Francis Suarez .

The ceremony happened two years after McGregor was arrested and charged in the city for alleged strong-armed robbery and criminal mischief after he snatched a cameraphone off a fan who was taking pictures of his outside a hotel.

The man later dropped a lawsuit against McGregor after it was settled out of court.

"The Mac with The Key to The City of Miami!" he beamed while posting a picture on social media.

"Thank you Mayor Suarez for bestowing this great honor upon me and with my family present to witness. A very proud moment for me in my life. Thank you!"

The star shared several photos of himself and his family at Miami beach on his Instagram story in the early hours of Friday morning.

He can be seen holding his daughter Croia's hand in one picture, while Dee was all smiles while holding little Rian in another, with Conor junior splashing about in the water.

The couple also shared a kiss and can be seen looking out into the sea in one other snap.

Conor used a cane to walk across the sand as he continues to recover from a broken leg.

He recently confirmed he is collaborating with Netflix on on a docuseries about his life, with the first episode coming this winter.

The former two-division UFC champ had teased the project in July.

"I'll be executive producer on the project. I'm contractually locked into four one-hour episodes that I've to produce right now for Netflix," said the welterweight, who is recovering from a broken leg he suffered during his July loss to Dustin Poirier.

McGregor added, "First one-hour episode up by January - easy. Christmas presents, I'm Santy - ho-ho-ho."

He didn't disclose the title of the series, although he joked in the July tweet that the four-part series would be called 'Mad Mac's: Fury Road'.

It is not clear when McGregor will be able to return to the UFC Octagon.

However, despite being sidelined by his injury, 'Notorious' has managed to stay in the spotlight through his highly publicised social media feuds with other fighters, including rival Poirier and his wife Jolie, as well as YouTube star and boxer Jake Paul.
