After the Kardashian tack-tastic big day out, we look at 12 other outrageous celeb weddings
Here are some of the most outrageous star-studded weddings through the years
Live elephants, lavish thrones, bowls of cigarettes, nude wedding dresses, camels, abandoned school buses, private jets, string bikinis and an awkward three minute kiss - the world of celebrity weddings is like no other.
As we all gawked at the latest Kardashian wedding cringe last week, it got us thinking about some of the wackiest celebrity nuptials through the years.
Why can't they just take the classy route like Bonnie Ryan did in Italy earlier this week when she wed her long-term partner John Greenhalgh?
Although if they did, life for us would be very boring. Here are some of the most outrageous star-studded weddings through the years.
Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock
You won't be shocked to hear that these two wild things avoided a traditional church venue, choosing to tie the knot in 2006 on a yacht in Saint-Tropez.

Anderson wore a white string bikini while Rock was shirtless and in jeans. The marriage was not considered legal, however, and the couple had to marry again in a courthouse chapel the following week. They divorced later that year.
Nicole Richie and Joel Madden
Richie and Madden got engaged in 2010 after dating for more than three years and sharing two children together. When they eventually got around to marrying, they did it with a 'French Garden' theme complete with a live elephant for good luck. I didn't know elephants were native to France, but there you are.

Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy
Olsen wed banker Sarkozy in 2015 in a private home in Manhattan. With an intimate crowd of roughly 50, the ceremony reportedly had "bowls and bowls" of cigarettes for guests to enjoy.

Olivia Wilde and Tao Ruspoli
Wilde, who was 19 years old at the time, wed Italian filmmaker Ruspoli in 2003. The couple had got engaged at the Burning Man music festival, and the ceremony was later held in an abandoned school bus in Virginia.
Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise
The £2m price tag - including almost £1m for guest airfares to the 15th century Odescalchi Castle outside Rome and more than £200,000 for 300 bottles of wine - may not seem like a staggering number by celeb nuptial standards.

But the guest list (including John Travolta, Steven Spielberg and Victoria Beckham) had an unusual addition: Scientology leader David Miscavige, who served as Cruise's best man, which was reportedly capped off by a three-minute kiss. Andrea Bocelli serenaded them, Mark Ronson deejayed, and the guests enjoyed a 15-minute firework display.
Dianna Agron and Winston Marshall

Actress Agron and musician Marshall wed in 2016 after dating for a year. The couple chose to tie the knot destination-style in Morocco, where they rode into the ceremony at the Beldi Country Club on top of camels. Agron also wore an unusual nude embroidered Valentino gown instead.
Britney Spears and Jason Allen Alexander
It was the surprise Vegas wedding seen round the world. In 2004, Spears went rogue and wed childhood friend Alexander at the Little White Wedding Chapel.
They paid $70 for the seven-minute ceremony and were married for 55 hours before they got it annulled. In September of the same year Britney married Kevin Federline. Guests were treated to a cash bar, chicken wings, ribs and mini cheeseburgers, and were given sweat suits embroidered with "pimps" for the guys and "maids" for the girls. Classy.
David Beckham and Victoria Adams
By today's standards this wedding wasn't actually that bad but at the time the OTT nuptials were beamed around the world. Set up in Dublin's Luttrellstown Castle, the footballer and singer took some time out of their hectic say to sit on lavish thrones and lord it over the guests. Pass the bucket.

Elizabeth Taylor and Larry Fortensky
For her eighth wedding the actress married construction worker Fortensky at Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch. Taylor wore a pale yellow Valentino gown and the king of pop served as her best man. Guests rode carnival rides afterwards.

Not one, not two, but THREE parties were hosted for this couple. The biggest was an epic eight-day wedding, costing over £3m in travel and accommodation costs for the 300 guests. Elton John arrived late in a helicopter.
Liza Minelli and David Gest
Singer Liza Minelli
As one of the world's ultimate entertainers it is no wonder that Minelli's guest list inched over 1,000 and the bill came in at over £4m, including a £50k 12-tiered wedding cake. Bridesmaid Cindy Adams later called it the "night of 1,000 facelifts."

It was more tacky than wacky but it deserves an honourable mention. In true Trump fashion, the £1.5m event at one of his resorts made headlines thanks to Melania's Dior gown by John Galliano gown featuring a 13-foot train.
