Broadcaster Lucy Kennedy moved into her new home in Sandycove over the weekend.

The Virgin Media star, known for her Livin’ with Lucy TV show, where she spends a couple of days living in the homes of various well-known names, moved into the semi-detached two-storey home in South County Dublin with her husband Richard and three children.

The house located by the sea was bought for €900,000 according to the Property Price Index. The purchase price was registered earlier this year.

The property, since being purchased and which is a short walk to Glasthule village, has undergone extensive renovations over the past several months prior to the broadcaster moving in with her family.

The plans are understood to have been worked upon following consultation with the local planning authority Dún Laoghaire/Rathdown County Council and local residents.

Lucy had hoped to move into her new home by last Christmas but was delayed by five months.

The Mum-of-three, who had been living in Dún Laoghaire let her more than 100,000 social media followers on Instagram know that she was getting ready to move to her new home.

She previously said last year: “We are just about to close on a house. ’It’s a doer-upper. I am looking forward to it but these things take so long, so hopefully we will be in for Christmas.”

The TV personality, whose family roots are in Sandycove as she grew up there, told fans that home makeover guru RTÉ’s Dermot Bannon was helping and advising her on her house hunt.

She first came to public attention when co-hosting The Podge and Rodge Show on RTÉ Two. She has also presented dating show The Ex-Files, her own chat show The Lucy Kennedy Show and the reality boxing show Charity Lords of the Ring.

She has also undertaken some radio work, including The Colm and Lucy Show and Weekend Breakfast with Baz & Lucy, both on RTÉ 2fm. She also presented The Six O'Clock Show on then TV3 now Virgin Media.
