Wheely foolish Watch: Two Irish men involved in high speed incident with police on French motorway

The police are seen in the wing mirror with blue flashing lights close to the men’s car which appears to be hemmed in by moving traffic.

A VIDEO has emerged of two Irish men dicing with disaster in a reckless incident with cops on a busy French motorway.

The laughing pair come within inches of a serious accident as the driver swerves in front of a truck and narrowly misses an exit ramp bollard.

The clip, circulating on WhatsApp, starts off as their right-hand drive car passes vehicles on the inside along the A86 motorway which skirts the north east of central Paris .

Listening to music the driver gestures at another motorist then realises his dodgy driving has been spotted by police and the passenger comments: “The chase is on.”

The driver jokes about not seeing a truck in front of him and tells his passenger to record the events as the distinctive French police siren is heard in the background.

The police are seen in the wing mirror with blue flashing lights close to the men’s car which appears to be hemmed in by moving traffic.

Then in a highly dangerous manoeuvre the driver hits the throttle before squeezing in between a car and truck as the truck driver lets loose a blast of his horn.

Using the emergency lane to pass out more vehicles on the inside, the swearing driver floors the accelerator of the BMW while weaving dangerously between traffic.

Eventually as the clip ends the passenger tells his pal: “They (sic) gone.”
