Video shows moment woman turns down man’s proposal in packed McDonald’s queue

Footage filmed at the Sandton branch of the fast-food chain in Johannesburg, South Africa shows the woman decisively rejecting her suitor.

While the woman is standing at the counter talking to an employee, a man behind her gets down on one knee holding out a ring box.

She turns around and shakes her head at him before turning back to the employee at the counter.

Persisting in his quest to ask for her hand in marriage, the man remains on one knee.

Once again she turns around and shakes her head saying “no.”

As the crowd begin to chant, she takes part of their order and places into a trolley before storming out of the restaurant.

Left behind in a cloud of shame, the man relents and stands up, putting the ring in his pocket.

With his tail firmly between his legs and visibly embarrassed, he grabs the couple’s trolley of McDonalds grub before making his way out behind his love interest.
