An Indian man was arrested on charges of spying for Pakistan after being lured in by photos of naked women.

Satyanarayan Paliwal, a 42 year old man from the Indian region of Rajasthan was honey trapped by Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI.

Mr Paliwal shared sensitive information with ISI in exchange for photos of nude women and seductive conversations.

Mr Paliwal said that the women, who spoke to him on behalf of the ISI, would often send him nudes of women in exchange for more information about the Indian’s army movement in border areas, as well as the Pokhran firing range.

The accused described himself as getting more “greedy”, as he began to send more and more sensitive information for more photos and longer conversations.

Mr Paliwal would get in contact with these women through a fake social media account, and would use that exact same account to send confidential information about the Indian Army to Pakistan.

Indian intelligence officials said that he had been in contact with ISI for a long time and that they had been watching over him for some time.

Mr Paliwal had many Indian army documents in his mobile home when he was detained in his hometown of Jaisalmer.

The state police of Rajasthan said that: “Satyanarayan Paliwal, a resident of Jaisalmer, has been booked and arrested by CID (Special Branch) on charges of espionage.”

“He has confessed to being in touch with an agent of Pakistan intelligence agency and possessing sensitive military information.”

Mr Paliwal has since been brought to Jaipur. He’s currently being investigated by Rajasthani police and intelligence officials.

The police said his brother’s wife is the sarpanch of the area, and that a further probe is on.

A sarpanch is a decision-maker elected by the village-level constitutional body of local self-government in India.

Conflict remains between neighbouring India and Pakistan, particularly over the border region of Kashmir. Both countries claim it as part of their own state.
