Members of the Italian senate got a shock this week when they were ‘zoombombed’ during an online video conference with CGI porn videos.

The senators had been taking part in a meeting labelled 'Towards a Transparent Civil Service’ when the NSFW video, based on the computer game Final Fantasy, began playing to the 113 people taking part in the meeting.

Among those who were in the meeting was Nobel Prize-winning physicist Giorgio Parisi.

The video reportedly featured the fictional character Tifa Lockhart from the computer game Final Fantasy in a compromising position which resulted in the recording being ditched from the Italian senate’s website.

One speaker was introducing the findings of their research when the X-rated video began to stream.

One senator, Maria Laura Mantovani, said after the incident: "Yes, I'm making a report to the police. A porno film suddenly aired on the monitor of the conference we were holding at Palazzo Giustiniani in the Senate."

It is reported senators and others on the video call became irritated and shocked when the type of porn, known as ‘hentai’, came up on a screen during the meeting.

‘Zoombombing’ is a term coined to describe the practice of members of the public gaining access to classroom, business, political or other professional Zoom meetings, which have become the norm during the pandemic, and interrupting in either protest or to do or say something shocking.

It has been made a crime in the USA, it is so widespread.
