Boy and grandmother die in US wildfires

A young boy was found dead huddled alongside his pet dog in a car where they had tried to escape the flames of the wildfires ripping through the US state of Oregon.
Wyatt Tofte (13) died in the blaze in Marion County, along with his 71-year-old grandmother, Peggy Mosso, who was also found dead in another car that went up in flames.
Her daughter and Wyatt's mother, Angela, survived but is in critical condition after she attempted to save them.
These are the latest fatalities in the series of wildfires that have devastated parts of the West Coast of the US.
Fires have been raging in California, Oregon and Washington for three weeks.
At least four people have been killed by the fires in Oregon and Washington State, while wildfires in California have killed at least 20 people since mid-August.
The small Oregon cities, Phoenix and Talent that are home to 11,000 people combined, have been almost completely destroyed.
State officials are preparing for mass fatalities in the wake of the fires that have devastated communities.
