Two men have been arrested after a man was stabbed in Armagh city, County Armagh, last night.

The police received a report shortly before 9pm that a man had been stabbed in the Ballynahone Crescent area.

When police arrived they found a man with injuries to his torso and stab wounds to his collarbone.

He was taken to hospital by the Ambulance Service.

A 50-year-old man and a man aged 51 have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remain in custody assisting the police with enquiries.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Our enquiries are continuing, and I am appealing to anyone with information, or who noticed or heard anything suspicious in the area around that time, to contact us on 101 quoting reference 1964 of 08/09/21.”
