A 26-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm


The PSNI are investigating after they found a man unconscious with a head injury in a parked car in north Belfast.

Police received a report in the early hours of this morning that the man had entered the car in the Limestone/Road North Queen Street area.

An ambulance arrived to take the man to hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

He is currently in custody being questioned by police.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Officers are working to establish the full circumstances of this incident and would appeal to anyone who was in the Limestone Road area at around 1.20am, and who may have witnessed or captured the incident on dash-cam, to contact police in Tennent Street on 101 quoting reference number 71 15/06/21.
