Another man has been arrested by police investigating the killing of Derry journalist Lyra McKee in 2019.

Ms McKee was shot dead as she observed disturbances in the Creggan area of the city in April of that year.

The 55-year-old was arrested in Belfast this morning under the Terrorism Act and has been taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite in the city for questioning.

Two men, aged 24 and 29, were arrested yesterday in the Derry area in connection with the investigation.

Three other men have been charged with the 29-year-old’s death and another two have been charged in relation to rioting in the area on the night she was killed.
