The Burren Perfumery Summer Harvest Eau de Parfum, €45

TAKING inspo from the Burren's breathtaking landscape, this Irish brand crafts perfumes and cosmetics using only natural ingredients. Boasting notes of meadowsweet, lady's bedstraw and chamomile, allow this one to transport you to a balmy meadow on a summer's afternoon with one spritz.

Giorgio Armani My Way Eau de Parfum, €56

INFUSED with notes of Madagascan vanilla, orange blossom, bergamot and cedarwood, this modern floral creation is easily my favourite scent in the Giorgio Armani fragrance family - and that's really saying something.

Developed with sustainability in mind, the glass bottle is also refillable, so there's no excuse not to smell fabulous.

Jo Malone London Wild Bluebell Eau de Cologne, €105

Meghan Markle's favourite Jo Malone scent has just had a major 2021 glow-up. Sometimes it's more about the bottle than the fragrance, but in this case, I can happily attest that both are fit for a duchess. Perfect for this time of year, the floral fragrance drenches the skin with the delicate scent of bluebells. While the warm base note of white musk lingers on for hours.

Rituals Poème d'Azar Eau de Parfum, €14.50

My apartment is decked out in Rituals diffusers and candles, but I've just recently discovered their perfume range and I've fallen hard. Irresistibly light on the nostrils (and the pocket), this feminine fragrance is inspired by the ancient Persian tradition of Yalda. Luxurious orris, delicate pomegranate and earthy tonka bean all fuse together fabulously in the handy travel size scent. Dab it onto your pulse points, let it air dry and waft around feeling wonderful for the rest of the day.

Judith Leiber More is More! Eau de Parfum, €125

Why have one scent when you can have seven? Instead of offering just one solitary scent, this unique fragrance can be worn alone or mixed together thanks to a multi-chambered bottle equipped with Swarovski-crystal sliders that allow you to switch up your scent combo. The refillable bottle also means there are endless opportunities for customisation once you've used them up. That's what I call a signature fragrance. Usually priced €145, it is available for €125 until August 31 at selected retailers or online at lifepharmacy.ie and allcarepharmacy.ie.

Atelier Cologne Perfume Wardrobe, €58

Packing light is an art form I haven't quite perfected, which is why I'm bringing a whole wardrobe of my favourite scents the first chance I get to catch a flight out of here. Open the door to eight mini-sized versions of Atelier's cult fragrances: orange sanguine, vanille insensee, and clémentine California are all personal favourites.

Whether you're lucky enough to be beachside, or just want to smell like you are, this carefree summer fragrance from French fashion house Maison Margiela is the one for you. Think sun-kissed salty skin and ocean spray and you can practically already sniff its fresh notes of lemon, bergamot, pink pepper and ylang ylang.
