Jack in a box

Jacked-Up is making #MeatfreeMondays even easier
Jackfruit is the latest buzzword when it comes to plant-based protein and it's not hard to see why.
The versatile fruit, native to south India, has a meaty texture that makes it the perfect replacement in everything from burgers to burritos.
Now Jacked-Up is making #MeatfreeMondays even easier with a range of tasty jackfruit for enjoying on pizza, salads or tacos - or just on its own.
Inspired by the homegrown jackfruit they enjoyed as children, the Meath company was founded by business partners Gursharan Singh and Binu Varghese last year after they couldn't find the nutritious fruit on shelves here.

The low-fat vegan product is available in three exciting flavours, Tex Mex, Pulled BBQ and Indian Curry, priced €3.99 for 300g, from select SuperValu and independent food stores nationwide. You'll also find a selection of inspiring recipe ideas from Pulled BBQ Pizza to Curry Salad at jackedup.ie.
