Woman in her 60s dies after tragic farm accident in Co Laois
The scene has been preserved for further investigation
Gardai say investigations are ongoing
Investigations are underway after a woman in her 60s died in workplace accident on a farm in Co Laois on Monday.
The woman was fatally injured in the incident and was and pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardai and emergency services had rushed to the scene, where, it was reported, the woman had been struck by a vehicle at around 5pm.
The scene has been preserved for further investigation.

“Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a fatal workplace accident that occurred at a farm in the Portlaoise area of County Laois on the evening of Monday, January 31,” gardai said.
"A woman in her 60s was fatally injured during this incident and pronounced dead at the scene.
“The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) have been notified.”
