A woman in her 20s has been arrested in Dublin after a pedestrian was injured when car crashed into a wall. 

She was the driver of the car that collided with the wall in a car park in the Dublin 2 area shortly before 11.20pm.

A female pedestrian on Dame Lane was struck by falling debris from the collision.

She was taken to St James’s Hospital where she was treated for her injuries.

According to reports, there was a large garda presence on Dame Lane following the incident that occurred near the Hard Rock Café.

Gardai said they attended “a single vehicle traffic collision that occurred at a car park in the Dublin 2 area shortly before 11:20pm last night”.

“A car is understood to have collided with a wall,” gardai said. “A female pedestrian on Dame Lane was struck by falling debris from the collision. She was taken to St James Hospital to be treated for her injuries.

“A female in her 20s was arrested as a result and investigations are ongoing.”
