Horror crash Woman (30s) seriously injured after collision with SUV in Dublin city centre

The female pedestrian was rushed to St James's Hospital for treatment.

A woman in her 30s has been seriously injured after being hit by an SUV in Dublin city centre last night.

The collision occurred on George's Street in Dublin 2, at approximately 9pm on Saturday 11th December.

The female pedestrian was rushed to St James's Hospital for treatment.

The SUV driver was not injured.

The road was closed for a time to allow Forensic Collision Investigators to conduct a technical examination.

George's St has since re-opened fully.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Any road users who were travelling in the area at the time and may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to investigating officers.
