RIP Woman, 30s, dies and two injured following horror crash in Kilmallock, Co Limerick

The female driver and male passenger of the other vehicle, both aged in their 70s, were taken to Cork University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A woman in her late 30s has died following a horrific road crash in Co Limerick on Sunday afternoon.

The tragedy involving two cars occurred at approximately 2:30pm at Garrienderk, Kilmallock, County Limerick.

The woman, who was driving one of the cars, was rushed to Limerick Regional Hospital where she later passed away.

The female driver and male passenger of the other vehicle, both aged in their 70s, were taken to Cork University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A technical examination was carried out by Forensic Collision Investigators and the road has since re-opened.

Gardaí at Charleville in Cork are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. Gardaí are also appealing to any road users who were travelling in the area and may have camera footage (including dash-cam) to make this footage available to Gardaí.
