Vigils in memory of tragic murder victim Ashling Murphy are set to take place across the country today, tomorrow and Sunday.

The 23-year-old primary school teacher died on Wednesday January 12th after she was attacked while out running along the Grand Canal in Tullamore, Co. Offaly.

A man in his 40s was arrested and interviewed in connection with the violent death, however, he has since been released and ruled out of the investigation.

Gardai are still looking for information from anyone who may have been in the area between 3pm and 5pm on the day of the killing.

They are also seeking information relating to a unique mountain bike with yellow and green handlebars.

People are set to gather in Tullamore, and across the country to remember the young victim.
