Two killed and one injured in horror early morning car crash in Co Roscommon
A man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene while a woman in her 30s was rushed by ambulance to Castlebar Hospital where she later died

Two people have died and one has been injured after a car crashed in Co Roscommon in the early hours of this morning.
The three occupants of the vehicle were treated by emergency services personnel for serious injuries at the scene of the crash on the R293 between Ballaghadereen and Gorteen, at Edmonstown road.
One of those, a male in his 20s, was pronounced dead a short time later while another, a female in her 30s, was rushed by ambulance to Castlebar Hospital where she later died.
The third victim, a male also in his 20s, was taken to Castlebar Hospital where his injuries are believed to be not life-threatening.

The crash site remains closed for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators this morning and local diversions are in place.
“Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward,” gardai said.
“Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R293 at the time of the collision are asked to make this footage available to gardaí.
