heartbreaking Tributes pour in for tragic teen killed in quad accident as funeral details announced

A young teenager who died after a quad bike accident will be laid to rest tomorrow morning. 

Patrick McKeogh, from Inchadrinagh, Tipperary, was rushed to hospital after being seriously injured last Monday in the incident.

The 16-year-old, a third-year student at Saint Anne’s Community College in Killaloe, Clare, was placed on life-support but later passed away.

A funeral service for the popular teen will be held tomorrow morning in St Lua's Church, Ballina, Co Tipperary.

A notice on RIP.ie reads:

“Will be sadly missed by his heartbroken parents, father Martin, mother Margaret, brother Adam, sister Lauren & brother Wayne and sister Melissa, his cherished Nanas Nora & Mary, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbours and his many great friends,” it adds.

"A reposing for neighbours and friends will take place at his home in Inchadrinagh today, from 6pm.

"His remains will leave his home on Saturday at 10.45am en route to St Lua's Church, Ballina, for Requiem Mass at 11.30am with burial afterwards in Templekelly Graveyard."

In the condolences section people have left heartful tribute to the young man.

“Martin , Margaret & family, my deepest sympathies on the sudden passing of Patrick,” one person has written.

“ I hope the happiness and memories Patrick brought to ye in his few short years be some comfort to ye in the weeks , months and years ahead.”

Another has added: “Sincere sympathy to Martin and all the McKeogh family on the devastating loss of Patrick, may his gentle soul rest in heaven.”

One message reads: “Sincere sympathy on your devastating loss of your dear son and brother. May he rest in eternal peace. God love you all.”

His uncle, Daniel Crawford, also left a heartfelt message to Patrick on his Facebook page.

“Rest in peace to my beautiful nephew Patrick Mckeogh so sad you were seriously injured on Monday morning and you fought so hard to hold on we will miss u so much."

“thinking of your mammy and daddy and your sisters and brothers and your nanas aunts and uncles and friends , everyone that knew you loved you ,, you loved your farming sleep tight my beautiful nephew..love u.”
