Teenager is killed after tractor crashes into drain in Co Offaly
The teen was taken to Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore
A teenager has been killed after the tractor he was driving left the road and entered a deep drain at Clonmore, Rhode, Co Offaly last night.
Gardaí and emergency services rushed to the scene at Black Castle Bog shortly after 11pm where they discovered the driver, a man in his teens, was fatally injured.
He was brought to Tullamore Hospital as the road was closed for examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.
Gardai said the local Coroner has been notified.

“Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward and any road users with video footage (including dash cam) is asked to make this available,” gardai added.
