A teenage girl will appear in court this morning in connection with an alleged stabbing in Dublin’s city centre on Sunday morning.

Officers from Pearse Street station were called to a property on College Street in Dublin 2 around 10am.

Gardai say two women were fighting on the premises and a third party was stabbed when he tried to intervene.

The injured party was taken to St. James's Hospital by ambulance where he is currently recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.

An 18-year-old was arrested at the scene and taken to Pearse Street Garda Station where she was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

She has since been charged and will appear in court this morning.

Garda have confirmed that investigations into the alleged assault are ongoing.
