Teen who died days after May bank holiday crash to be laid to rest this weekend

A tragic teenage girl who died days after a horrific May Bank Holiday weekend road crash will be laid to rest in Donegal this weekend.
Charlotte Kelly (17) was seriously injured in the single-car collision that occurred at Meenformal, Glen, Carraig Airt, in Co Donegal at around 9.15pm on Sunday, May 1.
She was initially rushed to Letterkenny University Hospital after the crash, before being moved to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin where she died later, on May 9.
A notice of RIP.ie states that Charlotte, who hails from Ballykeeran, Kilmacrennan, Co Donegal, will be "deeply regretted" by her loving parents Kathleen and William, brothers, sisters and grandmother Ellen.
As well as her nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, her boyfriend Conor, extended family and friends.
Her funeral mass is set to take place this Saturday, May 14 at 3pm in St Eunan's Cathedral, Letterkenny, Co Donegal, followed by burial afterwards in New Leck Cemetery.
In the condolences section people have heartfelt messages of sympathy and support.

One reads: “We are very sorry for your huge loss. May Charlotte Rest In Peace.”
Another adds: “May your beautiful Charlotte rest in the arms of Jesus. Praying for you all that you will get comfort from all the happy times you have together. May Charlotte rest in peace.”
One other persons has left a message that reads: “My sincere condolences to all the Kelly family and extended families and friends on the very sad passing of Charlotte. Heaven sure has gained an Angel RIP Charlotte.”
“My sincere condolences on the passing of the beautiful Charlotte,” adds another.
“I had the pleasure of working with Charlotte on the Youthscape Programme and she was a lovely young lady always smiling. Thinking of you all at this sad time. May Charlotte get the best bed in heaven.”
