Park it Stephen's Green closed with Luas Green Line services affected ahead of planned protest

No trams will be stopping at Stephen's Green inbound or outbound, a Luas spokesperson revealed.

Stephen's Green in Dublin has been closed off to the public with passengers travelling on the Luas Green Line affected ahead of a planned protest.

The Office of Public Works revealed the popular park will be closed this afternoon.

A protest had been due to take place there at 2pm.

A statement from An Garda Siochana said: "Gardaí are operating a policing plan in Dublin city centre this afternoon.”

“A number of traffic diversions and other policing plans are currently in place.

"Those who are conducting their essential journeys may meet obstructions on their journey and will need to avail of diversions."

No trams will be stopping at Stephen's Green inbound or outbound, a Luas spokesperson revealed.

They said: "Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused."
