Social welfare recipients can expect to receive their bonus Christmas payment between Monday December 6th and Friday December 10th.
The day of the payment depends on what day of the week claimants usually receive their social welfare.
The annual bonus is based on the type of payment and how much it is. The Christmas bonus is double the weekly payment and is offered in a bid to help those receiving welfare meet the cost of the festive season.
People receiving two eligible social welfare payments get the Christmas bonus for both.
