A Scottish man has launched an appeal for an “attractive” Irish medic to get in touch with him after he fell for the anesthetist during a hospital visit.

David Muir, from Glasgow, first met the Irishman when he was treated at a Scottish hospital for a back problem.

A week after his procedure, lovestruck David decided to “be brave” and take the first step by going on social media site TikTok to track him down.

In the video entitled ‘Can this happen?’ that comes with the hashtags #helpmefindhim and #makeithappen, David urges the man to get in touch if he is interested.

David said: "If you're not the anesthetist... just keep scrolling.

"So basically, I've waited a week now, and I was waiting to see if you would find me or if you'd put a message out there to find me.

"But it seems you're not going to do that, so I'll do it, I'll be brave enough, I'll be the one.

"Last time you seen me I would have been in a gown, and you couldn't find my veins, remember? We had quite a laugh about it.

"Then I said to you I hope you're strong enough to roll me over onto my front because I was getting a back operation, remember... we had quite a laugh together.

"I feel like in different circumstances... this might work, you know? So, do you want to go for a drink some time?

"Remember, you're Irish, just in case you don't know it’s you, you're Irish and you have glasses and nice kinda curl- very attractive, young man. Let's see if this can happen."
