RTE reporter posts photo of jam-packed Dublin Airport at 4am
The airport has advised travellers to arrive at the airport up to 3.5 hours before their departure time

RTE reporter Tony O’Donoghue has posted a photograph showing a jam-packed Dublin Airport at 4am this morning.
Taking to social media he shared a picture showing a huge crowd of people gathered in Terminal One as they que for check in desks and airport security.
“Sweet Jesus it’s four o'clock in the morning #DublinAirport,” he wrote.
It comes as the airport has been overwhelmed with queues in recent weeks.
This morning, passengers were asked to wait outside the terminal buildings to allow DAA to filter travellers through the queues.

“We are currently filtering passengers into the terminal buildings in an orderly manner to join check in and security queues which are moving,” a spokesperson for the airport said on Twitter this morning.”
“We thank passengers for their cooperation & patience at this extremely busy time of the morning in advance of the first wave of departures.”
The airport has advised travellers to arrive at the airport up to three and half hours before their departure time.
“Adhering to this advice, without the need to arrive any earlier, will help passengers get through the security screening process as quickly as possible.”

Airport operator DAA added: "Passengers were heeding our advice from very early this morning to arrive at the airport up to three and a half hours before their departure time.”
"This resulted in us having to stagger the flow of passengers into the terminals which was well managed by Airport Police."
“It said the queues were moving and thanked passengers for their "cooperation and patience at this extremely busy time of the morning in advance of the first wave of departures".
“With Dublin Airport prepared for an extremely busy Easter holiday period ahead, passengers were heeding our advice from very early this morning to arrive at the airport up to three and a half hours before their departure time."
