RTÉ has released the first images of tonight’s Late Late Toy Show.

Host Ryan Tubridy recently told how he was brought to tears by one moment on the upcoming Late Late Toy Show, which is themed on the various books by Roald Dahl.

It prompted a preview of a beautiful collaboration from groups of children across the globe joining to sing Rule the World, which will be beamed into Irish homes tomorrow night.

The singers featured in the performance all have Irish connections and have joined together to send special messages to their loved ones back in Ireland.

The children will sing about lighting up the sky and ruling the world as we approach the end of what has been a year like no other.

Speaking to the Sunday World, Tubs admitted that the lack of audience will keep him on his toes.

“Since the pandemic, the audience has been gone and initially it was a bit eerie and a bit peculiar but then I realised, you present your radio show every day of the week to a lot of people," he said.

“So, pretend it’s like a radio show and you don't have the audience sitting there looking at you for that.

“This is different because it’s the Toy Show.

“And when you’re a show off, you do thrive on other people's laughter or mirth and even if they’re just doing it to make you go away....so I don’t have that on Friday.

“So, it’s going to be a lot different. I’m going to have to probably turn the dial up a little bit to keep the energy high so I'm a little nervous about that.

“So, I've got a job at hand with no audience there.”
