Penneys portal for booking shopping appointments goes live
The Penneys portal for booking shopping appointments ahead of the full re-opening of non-essential retail is now live online.
However, there are limits to how many people can shop per hour and the amount of time they can shop for.
Eager shoppers clicking on the Primark link are brought to a booking page where they can select a store location.
Instructions on the page indicate that you first find your local store and book an appointment.
"We kindly ask that for each time slot allocated, only one customer attends,” the instruction reads.
“Only one booking should be made per person. Persons under 12 do not require a booking but must be accompanied by an adult with a valid booking. Appointment bookings are subject to availability. Primark holds the right to not accept certain bookings.”
You can then select a store and an available time slot.
Details were revealed last night by The Wilton Shopping Centre in Co Cork last when it posted that the portal will go live on Primark's website this morning.
They said: "SHOP BY APPOINTMENT. To book your appointment go to www.primark.com. Booking will go live tomorrow, Friday 7th May.
"There will be 100 slots per hour and 1 person per booking. Customers will have 45 minutes shopping time and 15 minutes transaction time ie to pay at the register. All customers must leave when their shopping time slot time is up. Customers are encouraged to only arrive just before their booked time. Trading hours are also on our website. One booking per adult and children over 12 years.
"All info regarding your booking will be sent to your email once you secure your booking. Unfortunately, no booking reference - no access."
However, if you miss out you won't have to wait long to access your local shop as full re-opening for non-essential retail, including Penneys, will take place on Monday, May 17.
