witness appeal Pedestrian (30s) killed in M50 collision

A man has died after being struck by a car on the M50 late last night.

Gardaí attended the scene of the incident, which occurred on the M50 Northbound before the Junction 5 Finglas exit at approximately 11:55pm.

The man (30s) was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body has since been taken to the morgue where a post mortem is to take place at a later date.

No other injuries were reported.

The road has fully reopened after being closed for a technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí at Finglas are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Gardaí are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time to make this footage available to Gardaí.
