A video has emerged online of a Paddy's Day parade in Co Clare depicting an incident where a deceased pensioner was brought to a post office in Co Carlow.

The annual parade in Kilfenora often features cheeky floats depicting some of the news stories of the year and this one was no different.

It appears some lads have created a makeshift post office, with a clerk and a desk while two of them prop up a third man.

A van pulls the float along that bears a sign saying: ‘No pulse no pension’.

It recalls the story from earlier this year when a deceased man was brought into a post office in January to collect his pension.

One man was later charged with two counts of deception after allegedly trying to collect his dead uncle’s pension.
