Miriam O’Callaghan lands exclusive interview with CNN’s John King

CNN's John King
RTE presenter Miriam O’Callaghan has scooped the Irish TV and radio world by landing CNN’s John King for her Sunday morning show.
The American newsman became a massive hit with Irish people last week during CNN’s around-the-clock coverage of the US presidential election.
Alongside the news channel’s anchor Anderson Cooper, the pair brought the news to the world about Joe Biden’s historic win, but it was King’s ability to talk for hours in front of his ‘magic wall’ breaking down the electoral voting numbers and patterns that made him a household name here in Ireland.
Since the incredible footage was shared on social media, every station in the country has tried to land the first Irish chat with him but SundayWorld.com can reveal that he will chat to the RTE star this Sunday at 10am.
“I am so happy to land John, it feels like a real scoop because I know every TV and radio chat show in the country wanted him.”
King not won the hearts of Irish news junkies last week with his encyclopaedic knowledge of the US political system but also because of his willingness to engage with Irish Twitter users as well as claiming he would be coming to Ireland as soon as the skies open again.
When a clip of his unique freehand number 8 went viral he didn’t shy away from it, instead owning it and replying to most of the social media users who had ridiculed him.
The scoop comes just a week after the latest JNLR figures revealed that Miriam gained an incredible 82,000 listeners to bring her weekly show average up to 318,000.
Don’t miss the exclusive interview this Sunday on RTE Radio 1 at 10am
